The wait is over! Our team has been working hard behind the scenes to complete our interoperable token bridge. The bridge enables bidirectional RWD transfers across Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain. Using the bridge, users can now convert RWD tokens between chains in a fully automated way. This was the first milestone in our interoperability plans.
How Does the RWD Token Bridge Work?
Users send tokens to a bridge address on either the Ethereum or Binance Smart Chain. Our validators monitor all incoming transactions, and our oracle communicates from one EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) based blockchain to another EVM based blockchain to complete the token swap.
Users can swap tokens using any ERC-20/BEP-20 compatible wallet. However, MetaMask and Trust wallet buttons are integrated into the bridge to make the process as frictionless as possible. Additional wallets will be more deeply integrated in the future.
Transfer Limits and Bridge Address
ERC-20 –> BEP-20
- Minimum swap amount: 5000 RWD (around $50)
- Default fees: No bridge operation fee to swap from ERC-20 to BEP-20. Our team is subsidizing costs for swaps in this direction.
BEP-20 –> ERC-20
- Minimum swap amount: 5000 RWD (around $50)
- Default fees: 400 RWD (around $4). This essentially just covers the gas price associated with sending tokens from the Ethereum bridge to complete the swap.
